About Kaithal Police
District Police: Kaithal District come into existence w.e.f. 03-11-89 and its jurisdiction formed by merging Police Stations Kalayat and Rajound of Jind District alongwith Police Stations City Kaithal, Sadar Kaithal ,Pundri and Guhla of District Kurukshetra. The district boundaries extend across Tehsil Kaithal, Guhla, Thanesar, Pehowa, Samana, Narwana and Assandh. The Area of Kaithal District is 2317 Sq. K.M. and its Populations is 945631 in which 270 Villages fall in the jurisdiction of Kaithal District .
At the time on creation of this district, 6 Police Stations namely Police Station City Kaithal, Sadar Kaithal, Pundri, Guhla, Rajound ,Kalayat were functioning. After that 5 Police Stations namely Police Station Dhand, Siwan and Cheeka , Civil Lines Kaithal & Titram were also upgraded to that of Police Stations. The list of SHO’s is enclosed herewith . At present 11 Police Stations are functioning to maintain the Law and Order in this district. Besides this, Kaithal District is situated on the National High way No. 65. To regulate the smooth Traffic regularly a Traffic Police Station has also been created in this district. Traffic Police Station has been equipped with one Gypsy, one Ambulance and two Motorcycle. A new format educative Challan form and a computerized challaning branch for compounding of challans has been introduced.
